Glorious greetings to you, Cherished one. There is one particular “canker” which causes many people to always complain and apportion blames to almost everyone around them. And the most dangerous aspect is that if not dealt with at the root stage such folks tend to blame God as the cause of their predicaments in life. Such complaining and blaming attitude mostly result from bitterness. When one is embittered, he complains and blames everyone and everything including himself. But God doesn’t want you embittered; He wants to see you living a better life.
Yes, bitterness is not part of the fruits of the recreated human spirit. Bitterness can be explained as a state of not living a joyful, tasteful or sweet life. Thus, a state when one becomes so hurt or harsh to the extent that he becomes “poisonous” in words, thoughts and deeds. It’s simply becoming hostile to the point of being venomous or intensely acrimonious. Bitter people often show it through their words, thoughts and actions.
However, as a New Creation, your nature is different from that of the unbeliever. So we are admonished not to allow the root of bitterness ensnare us. We should refuse it when it knocks on our door. Allow God’s love in you to flow all around you. See God’s agenda in every situation and bitterness cannot keep you bound. You have the power to always choose to live a better life empowered by the glory of God. The rich grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you always. Amen!
I DECLARE
I am a New Creation empowered by the Holy Spirit to overcome any worm of the flesh. I choose to grow better today and not bitter. I freely forgive all that have offended, betrayed, disappointed me. Through it all, God’s faithfulness has been proven. I allow the love of God to flow through me as a channel to all. I live at peace with all as much as it lies in my strength in Jesus Glorious Name. Amen!
