Glorious greetings to you, Cherished one. One sign of the end time is that there will be many false teachings to deceive many from the truth. Apostle Paul warned “For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears; And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables” (2 Timothy 4:3-4). So we are admonished by our focal text to pay rapt attention to quality teachings or doctrine.
Doctrine translated as ” didaskalia” in the Greek means “teaching”. So doctrine involves teaching, instructing and giving out precepts. Go for sound teachings inspired by God’s revealed truths and Spirit. Teach your congregation, family, friends and loved ones the unadulterated word of God. It’s through effective teachings of God’s word that the individual can grow effectively as a matured person in Christ. (1 Peter 2:2)
Where there is no sound or quality teaching of God’s word, the people are tossed to and fro and are easily carried away by every wind of doctrine even from demons, occult or other worldly religions (Ephesians 4:14; 1 Timothy 4:1). So brethren, till Jesus comes, we are admonished to give attendance to reading, exhortation, and doctrine which are built on Jesus Christ, the Master Builder. Refuse to be ignorant. With these principles in motion, you will be built up and be able to stand strong as a matured Christian in these last days. The rich grace of our Lord Jesus Christ is with you always.
PRAYER
Dear Father, I thank You for the glorious revelation in Your Word. By Your grace, I live as a responsible Christian to take heed to quality and sound reading, exhortation and teaching based on Your revealed truths. I am being built by the power of sound teachings inspired by Your Spirit in Jesus Mighty Name. Amen !
