THE SPIRIT UPON ALL FLESH
Acts 2 vs
»»17. And it shall come to pass in the last days, saith God, I will pour out of my Spirit upon all flesh: and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, and your young men shall see visions, and your old men shall dream dreams:-[KJV]««||
DURING the day of Pentecost, the Spirit of God fell on the disciples as promised by Jesus. Apostle Peter stood up to explain to them the fulfillment of this prophecy declared by God through Prophet Joel, even some people mocked them saying they were “drunk with new wine”. The Apostle explained that this experience is not of ” new wine” but of the Spirit (Acts 2:1-17).
In the Old Testament, God’s Spirit often came on few selected people, but according to Joel’s prophecy, the outpouring of the Holy Spirit would come on ALL flesh in the last days. There are those who teach that the HOLY SPIRIT is not for everybody but this is heresy. The Divine will says, “I will pour MY Spirit upon ALL FLESH (everyone, everybody, all human,all people)”. All flesh means “all flesh” (not some). Just believe and receive Him.
The Holy Spirit has been sent on earth to help God’s children to effectively live for God. Without the Holy Spirit, your Christian life can never be effective and enjoyable. And this outpouring is not for a selected few such as Pastors or Prophets. It’s for the empowerment of EVERYONE who believes in Jesus Christ. This experience is for the Body of Christ. Beloved, it is only when you believe that the outpouring is for you that you can embrace His ministry of prophecy, seeing visions and dreams. Embrace Him and you’ll walk in power, strength, ability and joy in your Christian life. The grace of the Lord Jesus be with you always.
PRAYER
Dear Father, I thank You for the outpouring of your Holy Spirit. Because of this outpouring , I am seeing divinely inspired visions, prophecies and dreams that will always lead and place me in Your will. I am also empowered to witness about Jesus. Continue to infuse me with inner strength by Your Spirit in the Name of Jesus. Amen !
