REFUSE TO TRIVIALIZE IMPORTANT MATTERS
Luke 17 vss
16.¶And fell down on his face at his feet, giving him thanks: and he was a Samaritan.17. And Jesus answering said, Were there not ten cleansed? but where are the nine?~ [KJV]
ONE day, Jesus encountered ten blind men during His earthly ministry. Listen to how these men approached Jesus “And they lifted up their voices, and said, Jesus, Master, have mercy on us” (Luke 17:13). When they needed a miracle they called Him Jesus and Master, and asked for His mercy. But after the miracle, their attitude was so different except only one. Well, these folks were not born again, yet they believed in the healing power of Jesus Christ. Yes, there are people who believe what you can do (ability) or can offer (your gifts) but not necessarily value your personality.
Jesus never kept quiet on their ungrateful attitude. To His amazement, He quizzed _”And Jesus answering said, Were there not ten cleansed? but where are the nine? Luke 17:17)._ The nine were ungrateful to Jesus. Ungratefulness is a wrong attitude that Jesus will always question, even today. Ungratefulness can close your next door of opportunity.One cause of ungratefulness stems from trivializing matters. To trivialize means to make something appear insignificant or to attach matters with little importance”. In other words, ignoring matters as if they they are without value. This is an error and inconsistent with godliness in the kingdom of God.
Cherished one, refuse to trivialize importance matters. Doing that is a sign that you do not attach value to the things of God or people. When someone offers you a helping hand, advise or gift, don’t treat that act as ‘normal’ or trivial; Respond to it with value of honour and respect. Do this even when they are your relatives, friends or loved ones. Don’t say it’s their responsibility so they have to do it. The fact that they do it tells you they are responsible and you should say “thank You” no matter how small that act may be. This is part of the law of honour. When you honour God, He will honour you. When you honour God and people with attitude of gratitude, it’s a seed and you won’t go unrewarded. The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you always. Amen!
PRAYER
Dear Faithful Father, I express a heartfelt gratitude for all that You have done for me. I refuse to trivialize vital issues. I will never take it for granted. Thank You for every good thing You have done for. I give You all the glory for the people You have used to touch my life in different ways. I live a graceful and praiseful attitude towards You and mankind in Jesus Name. Amen !_
