LABOUR FOR THE FOOD WHICH ENDURES TO ETERNAL LIFE [Pt. 2]
John 6 vs
»»27. Do not labor for the food which perishes, but for the food which endures to everlasting life, which the Son of Man will give you, because God the Father has set His seal on Him.”~[NKJV]
WHAT are you labouring and toiling for as a Christian ? Is it only for physical or material or educational or financial needs? Jesus said, seek Him for things that are greater than these because if you seek for His Kingdom and righteousness, all these things shall be added unto you (Mat 6:33). Materials needs are good, but they shouldn’t be the MAIN focus for seeking or serving Jesus. Get your heart to seek for the food which endures to everlasting life; Labour for the things which are spiritually edifying and can build you up to live like Christ.
Jesus is the only certified and legal personality to give you that food. He has the seal of the Father to give life everlasting. Seeking for this food outside of Jesus is a fruitless journey. Cherished one, it’s good to be engaging in daily business activities but NOT to the neglect of the essentials of eternal life. Work out your own salvation with fear and trembling (Phil 2:12). You have to esteem the salvation you have because it is the greatest thing Christ ever done for man. Afterwards, you must live according to the dictates of the life you have received.
This life is much superior than anything. It makes you a champion over Satan, demons and life’s challenges. As you beautify yourself with physical needs, never ignore the necessities or the essentials of eternal life. You are not saved for nothing. You are saved from sin into something glorious, righteous, fulfilling and prosperous. In Christ Jesus, God gave you a very beautiful spirit, soul and body. However, you have to maintain their beauty. And living the eternal life is the only means to enjoy true nourishment in life. The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you always.
PRAYER
Faithful Father, thank You for the word of Your grace which is always able to build me up and give me inheritance. I labour for the food which endures to eternal life. My life molded according to this life in Jesus Name. Amen !
