GOOD GIFTS FROM THE FATHER OF LIGHTS
James 1 vs
»»17¶“Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning.-[KJV]«« ||
RELIGION, philosophy and traditions of men have attributed many wrong happenings to the Almighty God. But God is not the mastermind of such bad things. Religion has taught many Christians that it is God’s will for them to be poor so that they will live humble. Also He causes them to be sick so that He will use it to teach them lessons. All these are not biblical and true reflection of the Father of lights.
Because if He uses poverty to humble people, then He made a mistake by making Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, David, Solomon etc rich. But God is smarter than that. Again, if He uses sickness to teach His children lessons, then why didn’t we hear of Jesus or the 12 disciples being sick or bedfast? Will you use poverty or sickness to teach your lovely children lessons as a lovely parent? Then why attach that to the perfect, all knowing, immortal God?
Apostle James is addressing a profound truth with the verse above. He tells us the Source of all good gifts. In other words, every good and perfect gift originates from above. Since God is good and perfect, that nature of Him envelopes the gifts He gives. Yea, God does not trade in synthetic goods and fake deals. From verse 15, he unveils how sin comes to fruition in a person’s life. Since God is not the author of sin, He couldn’t be the author of it agents. Sickness, sorrows, death, poverty, curses, failure are agents of sin. Now, the gifts come from the Father to the children of light (1 Thess 5:5). Beloved, we are in the end time and it’s time for the children of the Light to enjoy all the goodness of their Father. The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you always.
Father of lights,Giver of life, thank You for insight into Your Word. You have made me the light of the world to bring solutions to the world problems through Jesus. Thank You for the gifts, talents, abilities, skills and potentials. I use them to glorify You all my days in Jesus’ Name. Amen!
Enjoy A Blessed Sunday !
