YOU ARE A WORTHY NEW CREATION

Romans 8 vs
>>17. ¶And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer with him, that we may be also glorified together.-[ KJV]<<||

THERE are some teachings today which are usually man-made than Christ-made. But thanks to God for His Spirit who guides us into all truth, every man-made doctrine is gradually being nullified. There are more than enough evidence in the scripture that prove that the state of a man is changed when he becomes born again (2 Cor 5:17). He become a partaker of a new covenant which is far better than the old. Therefore you have to become absolutely conscious of who you are, what you have and where you are in Christ.

This reality will change your entire life. Ignorance of this has led to a kind of ”religious humility” that speaks of making yourself “nothing” before God. Such folks speak “oh I am unworthy to stand before you, I am nothing before you oh God, I have nothing, I am weak without strength “. Well, all these confessions seem so nice and humble at sight but they are not worthy of the new life in Christ. And it’s true only if you are not born again, but not when you are bought with the precious blood of Jesus and have the Holy Spirit dwelling in you.

Our opening text says, if we’ve become legitimate children then we are also heirs of God and joint heir with Christ. Do you have any idea what it means to be heir of God and heir with Christ? The word “heir” means “one who has acquired or obtained the portion allotted to him”. In other words, a heir is a possessor or enjoyer of an allotted inheritance. So God’s children are heirs of God; the Lord God has become their portion and inheritance. And they are joint-heirs with Christ, which implies that they have become joint- participants with Christ of the same inheritance. Thus, they partake of the same eternal glory with the glorified Christ. Hallelujah!

Cherished one, could you be defined as a heir of God and joint-heir with Christ and still be unworthy to stand before God? Absolutely No! If you are a legitimate child of God, then you are not a bastard, you qualify to partake of God as your portion in all things. At first you weren’t, but not when you have boldness to come before the throne of grace to obtain mercy and find grace in times of need (Heb 4:16). If you are IN CHRIST, then you are a worthy new Creation. Live in this new identity as heir of God and joint-heir with Christ and nothing in this life can ever bring you to disrepute. The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be multiplies unto you.

PRAYER
Dear Father, thank You for the revelation of truth which Your Spirit brings to bear. Thank You for making me a heir and joint participant with Christ. I receive and live with humility all that comes with being a heir in Your Kingdom. I am therefore subject to a glorious life of excellence and virtue. I refuse anything that contradicts my true identity in You in the Name of Jesus Christ. Amen !
