YOUR WILL, YOUR CHOICE
Ephesians 4 vs

DO YOU know that one of the greatest gifts God gave to man is the will? And the original intent of this will was to have dominion, subdue, fruitful, multiply, replenish the earth (Gen 1:26-28). Therefore for the devil to ‘twist’ this image and will given to man, he has to employ his best tool-deception. He uses deception to steal your permission to destroy you. So in the garden of Eden, he had to cunningly twist God’s word to Eve and shift her focus from the word to the fruit (Gen 3:1). Know that God has a will, the devil also has a will. A will is synonymous to your ‘choice, inclination, desire or pleasure’. It is either controlled by whoever you yield to, whether God or devil.
Beloved, the devil’s tricks have not changed. He applies the same old tricks to every man on earth. He makes sure he shifts your focus from the Creator to other things so he can destroy you. For he knows that as long as your focus is on God and His word, he can’t steal, kill and destroy you. God also employs the same technique in order to bless you. He makes sure Jesus becomes your ultimate focus in order to give you life (Heb 12:2).
The truth of the matter is that both God and the devil cannot use you without your will. Thus, they both need your permission before they can use you. In order words, until you yield your will to God or devil, none of them can rule you. Whom you yield to determines who becomes your master (Romans 6:16). Adam and Eve yielded their will to the devil instead of God. That’s why he could destroy mankind. Beloved, your will is your power. Be careful how you use it and whom you yield to. The grace of our Lord Jesus be with you always.
PRAYER
Glorious Father , thank You for Your undiluted Word today. I give myself away so You can use me. I surrender all my will to You. Use me for Your glory. For if I live, I live for You. I refuse to give place to the devil. Take all the room in my life. My life is Yours forever in Jesus’ Name.
