Timothy was admonished to give heed to reading, exhortation and doctrine. Thus, after feasting from quality and transformative materials, there is the need to exhort one another. Exhortation means giving good counsel, encouragement, consolation, comfort or solace to others; Thus, something which affords refreshment (not condemnation). Cherished one, refuse to be discouraged in life because God never discourages anyone who is on a good course. Also, God never gave or called anyone to the ministry or “office of condemnation or intimidation”.

In this end time, many go through diverse challenges which calls for intense exhortation from all angles to always ignite their passion for the glorious life and love for Christ. So the Holy Spirit is telling the Kingdom citizens to walk in the spirit of exhorting one another (not division, criticising or backbiting others). The sacred letter says “But exhort one another daily, while it is called “Today,” lest any of you be hardened through the deceitfulness of sin.” (Hebrews 3:13). So the absence of exhortation can lead to hardening of hearts. But abundance of exhortations will break hardened hearts by giving hope for the present and even for the future.

Beloved, make it a lifestyle to encourage others and you will receive same. Always bear in mind that someone somewhere needs your words of encouragement to move on to the next level. Encourage all manner of people; the rich, poor, weak, strong, wise, unwise, married, single etc. Whoever is not willing to encourage you in this life is not worth your precious time. In the same vein, anyone you are not willing to exhort, don’t discourage either. It’s better to remain silent than to be discouraging other people. Develop the attitude of exhorting others because your words can make or better someone’s life. Grace and peace from our Lord Jesus Christ be multiplied unto you always.

PRAYER
Dear Father, thank You for the Holy Spirit sent to help me in this Christian journey. I avail myself to reading and exhortation inspired by Your Spirit and has the capacity to build me up in at all times. I am invigorated, encouraged and comforted to impact my world to fruition by the seeds of exhortation planted in me in Jesus Name. Amen !
