9.¶That was the true Light which gives light to every man who comes into the world.-[NKJV]

OUR OPENING scripture makes a very profound statement about Jesus as THE TRUE Light which illumines man. Every person on earth has an inherent desire in him or her that yearns for God. And the human conscience is a great witness to this truth. The reason being that God discovered and oriented mankind in His own image and likeness (Gen 1:26,27). Man never discovered and oriented himself. It takes a fool to say in His heart there is no God (Ps 14:1). Almost all religions in the world hold certain opinions about the existing God. Though some of their opinions are “distorted”, some facts are right. Almost all realises that there is Someone greater behind the creation of the sea, heaven and the earth etc.

Apostle Paul reveals that ” what may be known of God is MANIFEST in them, for God has SHOWN it to them. For since the creation of the world His invisible attributes are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even His eternal POWER and GODHEAD, so that they are WITHOUT EXCUSE (Rom 1:19,20). Every iota of goodness and wisdom that we see operating in this world has their origin in the Light that enlightens all mankind. However, this Light is not fully manifested unless the person embraces the Light (Jesus).

And if the Light illumines every man that comes into the world, how much MORE the New Creation who is filled with the Light? Whoever believes in Jesus receives life and light. So the born again does not just get enlightened by the Light but he enjoys the Light to the fullest. Also, there is a greater power (which the one without Jesus lacks) resident in the believer to live and walk as the Light. Jesus illumines you by His Spirit and His word concerning how you should live your life in this world. This is your real life: to be enlightened by Jesus and live as He lived, talk as He talked and act as He acted in power and glory. The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you always.

PRAYER
Dear Lord, thank You for a greater illumination in my life. My spirit, soul and body are enlightened by Your Spirit and word. I refuse to live in darkness of sin, poverty, failure and death. Because I am illuminated to live as the light of the world in glory and power in Jesus Name. Amen !
