24/7 DOXA Content, 15th April-DON’T DESIRE THEIR PROSPERITY

LIVING a godly life is different from living a worldly life. The godly influences lives positively and the secular does so negatively. *However, you must stand the test of time and refuse to be influenced by the pleasures of this world.* Our focused text says the turning away of the simple shall slay them. Turning away means backsliding. Backsliding or going back to the world leads to destruction no matter how “nice” it may seem. The end is not pleasant. And the Bible affirms that any backsliding is a sign that folly wants to reign. Refuse to give it a chance.

The next part says the prosperity of fools shall kill them. Thus, when a sinner is at ease or prosperous without God, it will surely leads to his destruction. This is because folly is set in his heart by ignoring God’s way or principles of prosperity. Besides, such people are controlled by their prosperity. Pride, immoral life and carelessness rules their heart. The devil is able to manipulate them to make decisions that destroy their own souls. Therefore, no born again Christian should envy or desire the prosperity of sinners. All that they have gathered is for their destruction. Proverbs 23:17 says “Let not your heart envy sinners: but be in the fear of the LORD all the day long.”

Yes, stay in the fear of the Lord. Have reverence for God and His word. The worldly system of prosperity or success puts other things before God or in the place of God. They obey the dictates of money, success, possessions, fame, ego, recognition. But the “Christian type” puts God first (Mt 6:33). Yes, Christ becomes their preeminence. Therefore prosperity is seeking first and having the kingdom of God and His righteousness in order to enjoy all things added by God. Rejoice, value and walk in contentment for what God has given you. Refuse to desire the sinner’s prosperity. The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you always.

PRAYER
Ever-Wealthy Father, thank You for blessing me with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places. I walk with a blessed mindset. Therefore I refuse to desire the prosperity of the wicked. For all things are mine. You supply my needs according to Your riches in glory in Christ Jesus. Hallelujah !
