Cherished one, one of the signs of the end time is false teachings. And Jesus forewarned us to take to heed to avoid being deceived (Mat 24:4). God in His own wisdom has provided all that it takes to rule over deceptive spirits, teachings and prophets. This He did by given us the Holy Spirit who is called the Spirit of truth. His duty is to guide you into all truth (John 16:13). However, to perfectly understand or embrace the ministry of the Holy Spirit, you must first of all know and understand His Person.
Who is the Holy Spirit? He is the Spirit who proceeds from the Father (John 15:26). He has names which are synonymous to each other. He is called the Spirit of God, the Spirit of the Lord or the Spirit of Christ (Romans 8:9). He executes the words of the Father and the Son. He is the Spirit content at work in God the Father and the Son. And most importantly, the Spirit is NOT a thing. He is a Person. Thus, He has a nature that resonates a personality not an object. So it’s an ERROR to use “it” for the Holy Spirit.
The Holy Spirit is God. For God is Spirit (John 4:24). Knowing the Person of the Holy Spirit is key to living an effective Christian life. Moreover, the Holy Spirit is NOT a dove, wind or fire. He can “manifest” in these manners but He is not them; His way or manner of manifestations or operation is different from His Person. This is why the Bible uses “He” for the Holy Spirit. He is real and you can relate and have fellowship with Him. For He is the Spirit of God living inside of you. The rich grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you always.
PRAYER
Thank You Precious Father for Your Sweet Holy Spirit who lives inside of me. I submit myself to the Person and ministry of Your Spirit in order to be an effective Christian in Jesus Mighty Name. Amen !
