GLORIOUS greetings, Cherished one. Jesus unveiled a powerful revelation during His earthly ministry. He said _”A new commandment I give to you, that you LOVE one another; AS I HAVE LOVED you, that you also LOVE ONE another. By THIS all will KNOW that you are MY DISCIPLES if you have love for one another” (John 13:34,35)._ According to the words of Jesus, loving others is a commandment for true disciples; *Henceforth, to those of us in Christ, loving others is not an option.* Also, Jesus said we should LOVE others AS He has loved us. Thus, He is the accepted and perfect pattern or template of love.
This is vital because unless Jesus becomes your pattern or model of love, you cannot really love others. Because He expressively SHOWED love and continues to LOVE His own. Jesus reveals that loving one another is a glorious sign to the world that we are truly His disciples. One great man of God has rightly said: _”People may not understand your tongues, but they will understand your love”._ This is why we learn to know the nature of the love of God shed abroad in our heart. Unless you know and understand the nature or revelation of God’s love, you cannot manifest it effectively. We are admonished to know that love is patient, kind; does not envy or boast in vainglory; is not puffed up.
Our focal text further unveils that, ” love does not behave rudely”. This implies that love is not rude or disrespectful. In other words, love is not repeatedly indecent in manner or behaviour. Yes, it does not continually display rudeness or improper demeanour. This teaches us that love habitually respects and behaves well. Beloved, refuse to be habitually rude to others. Love and rudeness cannot walk the same path together. So whenever you sense rudeness in a relationship, love is not ruling there. Love “breeds” respect and honour, not otherwise. The rich grace of our Lord Jesus Christ abounds towards you always.
I DECLARE
Precious lovely Father, I thank You for nurturing me in Your love. I thank You for giving me Jesus as my perfect model of love. By Your benevolent grace, I choose to walk in love without rudeness. I refuse to behave rudely. I am born of Love so I honour and respect one another in love in Jesus Lovely Name. Amen !
