STAND UP TO THE CHALLENGE

WE’VE learnt how the Father’s acceptance of Jesus as dearly beloved and highly esteemed Son affects the body of Christ in general. However, remember that there is a tempter, twister and deceiver called Satan, the devil who will not rejoice over your heavenly identity or connection. *Yes, he will challenge your Father’s identity and connection with you.* Since he fell he wants everyone to follow his steps to rebel against every word of God. He played that trick on Jesus Christ during His earthly ministry immediately after the Father had declared that “this is My Son in whom I am well pleased.” The tempter quizzed Jesus _“…If you are the Son of God, command that these stones become bread ”(Mat 4:3)._
In other words, he meant if it is true that you are dearly loved and esteemed by the Father, then use His power to turn these stones to bread. The devil’s main target wasn’t on stones turning into bread but he wanted Jesus to obey him and rebel against the Father who loved and esteemed Him. But Jesus also unveiled that man shall not live by bread alone but by every word that proceeds from the mouth of God. Hallelujah! Jesus implied that He lived by the “bread” (word) which proceeds out of God’s mouth; not bread (words or commands) of the devil or man. Here, Jesus is also showing us how the dearly beloved and esteemed ones should love and esteem the Father’s word.
Thus, they just don’t know their heavenly identity, rather they live or manifest that identity even in the face of the devil or challenging circumstances. Cherished one, our Christian life is a fight of faith; and God’s word is our weapon for continuous success. Jesus fought the devil by God’s revelation word in faith. He stood up to the challenge and conquered the devil. This is your time; you’ll also face diverse temptations but it’s your duty to take advantage of the weapon of God’s word as a shield and engage the fight of faith in victory against anything ungodly. Receive much grace and strength to always stand up to every challenge and stay more than a conqueror. The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you always.

Father of strength and might, thank You for showing me how to stand up to challenges by the revelation of Your powerful word and to live as more than a conqueror. I receive much grace to engage in the fight of faith as a winner from victory to victory. I stand and conquer by every word that proceeds from Your mouth in Jesus Name. Amen!
