SPEAK GOODNESS TO YOUR SOUL

THE CHRISTIAN life is not lived on feelings though emotions are not bad. There are times you will feel or think about issues and you would be downhearted if you allow that. It is that time that you have to take charge. Don’t watch your life go worse on negative feelings. The soul is believed to comprise of four parts; these include your mind (intellect), will (seat of choice), feelings (seat of emotion) and conscience (seat for judgement). All this combine to make up your soul. These express themselves in your body part.

But there is a spirit in man and the inspiration of the Almighty gives him understanding (Job 32:8). And this spirit, the inner man has the ability to position the soul into its right place. And when you are born again, your spirit or heart is recreated in newness of Christ filled with power, energy and strength to control your soul and body. Therefore when life’s challenges seem to rob your dignity in Christ, stand and speak goodness to your soul according to God’s word.

Take charge, dominate, subdue your soul under the dictates of God’s word as the King did in our opening verse. Declare joy to it if it’s sad and sorrowful; declare hope and glorious expectations to it, when you feeling hopeless. When it feels threatened by death speak life to it that “I shall not die but will live to proclaim the goodness of God” (Ps 118:17); if all you see is hurt and pain, constantly talk to your soul “my soul, you shall see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living” (Ps 27:13). Hallelujah…

As you persistently do this in faith, you will see a great change in your day and life. Speak to your soul goodness, prosperity, hope, righteousness, life to it. Don’t speak death, curse, or hurtful words to it, because words are seeds, you will reap whatever you sow- good or bad. But as a lovely son or daughter of God, you are destined for goodness and mercy to follow you all the days of your life (Psalm 23:6). The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you always.

I DECLARE
I speak to my soul peace, hope, joy, prosperity. Challenges shall never take the joy I have in Christ. I refuse to be ruled by my feelings, will or mind. For I am moved by the Word of God in my heart. I speak as God wants me to and I possess all that He has delivered in my spirit in the Name of Jesus. Hallelujah!
