RESURRECTION OF CHRIST, OUR SURE ANCHOR

THE BIRTH and death of Jesus Christ are of great significance, but the Resurrection forms the pillar of Christianity (1Cor 15:19). It is the “more glorious crown” of Christianity . For Jesus to defy death and live forever is a great news to tell the whole world. It’s something to excite every believer because there is hope of resurrection for all. Acts 2 :24 says “whom God raised up, having freed him from the agony of death, because it was not possible that he should be held by it.”*

The Spirit through Apostle Paul touched on some vital realities here. He enjoined “If Christ has not been raised, then our preaching is in vain, and your faith also is in vain” (1 Cor 15:14). But He rose again so, our preaching is not in vain; and faith too not in vain. He rose again so we are not false witnesses. Again, he quizzed “If Christ has not been raised, your faith is vain; you are still in your sins. Then they also who are fallen asleep in Christ have perished” (1 Co 15:17-18). But the good news is that He rose again so our faith is alive and those who have died in Christ have hope for resurrection.

So Cherished one, the resurrection of Christ is the greatest anchor of our Christian life. It gives us hope, confidence and unwavering assurance in the living Lord. Glory! Christ lives forevermore. So He is Lord over the dead and the living (Rom 14:9). Many religions claim to believe in some dead men who will be judged by our Lord Jesus on that Day. But we trust in the Resurrected Christ. You can now see why some of us are so bold and never ashamed of Jesus and His gospel; it’s because HE LIVES FOREVER MORE. Hallelujah! The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you always.

I DECLARE
Jesus is my Lord forever. I am filled with the joy that You died for me but more so to know that You resurrected and live FOREVERMORE. Death could not hold You captive. Thank You Jesus for loosing the shackles of sin and death over my life. Death has no power over me anymore. Glory! I am alive in Christ Jesus. Hallelujah!
