24/7 DOXA Content, 5th May-REFUSE TO WALK AS A CARNAL MAN

Another category is called the carnal man. A carnal man acts as a baby in Christ, though he is born again for a long time. Thus, he should have grown as a spiritual man, but have decided to remain unspiritual or infant. Such folks are sold under the influence or appetites of the fleshy lifestyles. He called them babies in Christ. The word “babies” (Greek *nēpios*) used here implies an infant or acting childish or unskillful. It simple means immature Christian.

Therefore the Apostle said “I fed you with milk, not with meat; for you weren’t YET READY. Indeed, you aren’t ready even NOW” (1 Cor 3:2). So carnal men are fed with milk, they are not able to take the solid meat of deeper spiritual revelations concerning the Kingdom. Hebrews 5:12-14 paints a vivid picture of babies in Christ: “For although by this time you should be teachers, you again need to have someone teach you the rudiments of the first principles of the revelations of God. You have come to need milk, and not solid food. For everyone who lives on milk is not experienced in the word of righteousness, for he is a BABY.”

Consider some behaviours that made the Apostle called them carnal “for you are still carnal. For where there are envy, strife, and divisions among you, are you not carnal and behaving like mere men?” (1 Cor 3:3). He saw them walking in jealousy, strife and division even though they were born again and much gifted as a Church (1 Cor 1:7). The only solution for this category is to grow out of carnality into spirituality. Allow God’s word to find expression within you to bear fruits of the recreated spirit. You are born again, refuse to live as natural or carnal person; refuse to copy their lifestyle.*The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you always.

PRAYER
Dear Father, thank You for the revelation of Your word. Thank You for showing me how to live as Your child. I refuse to live as carnal person for there is no seed of carnality in me. I ask and receive much grace to grow into deeper spiritual maturity in Jesus Name. Amen!
