PEACE TOWARDS MANKIND

THE GLORIOUS events surrounding the birth of Jesus Christ is so wonderful to the extent that it always deserves the utmost attention and understanding. Yes, there is more to it than what’s been told.The scriptures affirm that an angel announced His birth to the virgin, Mary (Luke 1:30). After the birth, an angel was also sent to proclaim His birth to some shepherds on the field. Who was this Man that angels gave so much attention? We believe angels are ministers of God who do His commandments (Psalm 103:20). Therefore, God assigned them for this august birth in the history of mankind. Jesus’ birth was a heavenly design and therefore attracted heavenly escorts.

God had already sought for the total redemption of mankind since the fall (Gen 3:15). Henceforth, His salvation plan was revealed by the angel to the shepherds with words such as “peace on earth”. Thus, God fully appropriated His peace on earth through Christ Jesus. The sin and disobedience of the first parent created a great separation between God and mankind in that man died spiritually; and was never alive to the things of God as He intended from the beginning. The angel declared “Peace on earth” because Jesus was born to save mankind from all spiritual insecurity, chaos, corruption and instability.

*Now “peace on earth” means “peace in you” if you have believed in Jesus Christ. He is the Father’s eternal peace which surpasses human understanding.*Jesus brought total salvation to man from any assault of the devil. Therefore, the wrath of God was replaced with peace as revealed in Romans 5:1 “Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ”. Beloved, God is no more angry with man but had lovingly extended His peace toward man through Christ Jesus and wants all to be saved (Titus 2:5;John 3:16). Embrace Him and enjoy eternal peace all-way round (Phil 4:7). For Jesus is the peace of God towards mankind. The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you always.

PRAYER
Good Father, I join the multitude of angels in praise and declare glory to You, peace on earth and good will toward me. I am justified and have peace with You. I therefore enjoy Your good will concerning my life. Receive all honour in the Name of Jesus Christ. Amen !
