HE IS NOT ASHAMED TO CALL YOU BRETHREN

11.■”For both He who sanctifies and those who are being sanctified are all of one, for which reason He is not ashamed to call them brethren.”~《NKJV》

Sanctification simply means “to separate from profane things and dedicate to God”. Until you are sanctified, you have no part with God. And the holy scripture says there is One who sanctifies. His name is Jesus (Hebrews 13:12). It’s not your own works or will power that does the sanctification. When you are conscious of the One who sanctifies you, you will solely depend on Him to live as a sanctified saint. _Any kind of sanctification which does not involve Christ is mere religion and breeds hypocrisy._ Christ is the true source of our sanctification (1 Corinthians 1:30).

Our opening text reveals that the origin of the One who sanctifies and those who are being sanctified are one. Thus, both originates from God the Father. Therefore Christ having this consciousness is never ashamed to call them His brethren (brothers). Yes, Jesus Himself affirmed this truth when He rosed from the dead “Touch me not; for I am not yet ascended to my Father: but go to MY BRETHREN, and say unto them, I ascend unto my Father, and your Father; and to my God, and your God” (John 20:17).

Jesus assured the saints the same Father-child relationship as He has. Thus, as God loved him as His beloved son, so does He love the saints as His beloved saints.This is the doing of the Lord and it’s marvelous in our eyes. Cherished one, you are a real child of God sanctified by the blood of Jesus; You are not an alien or stranger in the sight of God. Jesus is your Lord and Saviour alongside your “big brother” and He is never ashamed to call you brethren. You belong to the same family of God. Rejoice and take advantage of this reality. The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you always.

I DECLARE
Oh Lord, what manner of love You have bestowed on me that You call me Your child. Thank you Lord for Your sanctification. I belong to the Family of God. I am chosen, not forsaken. God is for me, not against me. I am a child of God. I rejoice and esteem my relationship with You forever. Hallelujah!
