21.¶And this commandment we have from Him: that he who loves God must love his brother also. -|NKJV|

AS NEW creations, there are commands in our kingdom to keep us moving in harmony. The Scripture says God’s “commandments are not burdensome” (1 John 5:3). This is because He gives us what it takes to be, will and do of His good pleasure (Phil 2:13). Yes, God does not tell you to do or become something out of your own power; for “by flesh shall no man prevail” (1 Sam 2:9). He infuses you with divine ability or inner strength for every task. It is your duty to acknowledge this strength and take advantage of it (Philemon 1:6).

The holy scriptures admonish us to love God, our Father who gives liberally to all. (1Tim 6:17).Jesus unveiled a spiritual law that ” if you love me, keep my commandments” (John 14:15). So love is manifested in true obedience to God’s word.  The love life of the New Creation is more than “dos and don’ts”. It is yielding your total self (spirit, soul and body) willingly to God as a living sacrifice backed by unfeigned sincerity. It involves living out your all in all for God despite prevailing circumstances. This is where your deeds, thoughts and words are enveloped in love towards God. When you love God, you are so passionate about Him and His kingdom.

However, the commandment received is that whoever loves God MUST love his brother. Yes, the essence of God’s love is to position and endow you with the ability to love others. The equation is not complete without the other. Beloved, to truly say you love God but hate your brother makes you a liar (I John 4:20 ). So your love for God must also be seen in loving your brethren. Because brotherly love influenced by godly love is a powerful force to overcome all hatred, anger, unforgiveness, violence etc. It is unstoppable. That’s why the wiseman enjoined “many waters cannot quench love” (SoS 8:7). Love God, love people. Let love prevail. The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you always. Amen!

PRAYER
Thank You Precious Father for loving me with everlasting love. I also love You with an unfeigned love. I walk in the grace to always love because I partake of Your nature. I bring forth the fruit of love to my world of contact to birth peace, tranquility and unity among the brethren in Jesus Name! Amen !
