LIVING ABOVE IGNORANCE Pt. 2

Ignorance can be a state of lacking understanding or revelational knowledge about the truths of the Kingdom. In our focused text, Apostle Paul recounted to His son in the Lord what “ignorance” caused him to become. It caused him to be a blasphemer; he spoke impiously and unjustly of Jesus, His doctrine, ways and disciples. He also became a persecutor by endeavouring to the uttermost of his power to exterminate all who called on the Name of the Lord Jesus (Acts 9:4,5). Again, ignorance made him a violent man.

As he was full of wrath, insolence; he caused injury to many lives in the Kingdom (Act 7:58; 22:4). And all this while he thought he was doing God’s service (John 16:2 ). The bedrock of most spiritual ignorance is religion. Ignorance can make a “beast” out of a man. Ignorance can also mean being “misinformed”. Paul was misinformed by religion (Jewish system) concerning The Christ. His unbelief in Christ caused him to be ignorant. Through religion and the traditions of his fathers, his spiritual eye/mind was blindfolded against the glorious gospel (2 Corinthians 4:4).

Thus his understanding wasn’t flooded with light to consider the nature and evidences of Christianity. But when he came to KNOW Christ Jesus, all things became different (Romans 1:16; 2 Cor 5:17). Beloved, the heart of unregenerate man is desperately wicked towards Jesus and the gospel. Let’s intercede for such folks to see the Light. Ignorance, unbelief and arrogance are dangerous killers. Fight them by exercising the sword of the Spirit (Word of God) and study under the guidance of the Holy Spirit and you’ll always live above ignorance. The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you always.

PRAYER
Dear Glorious Father, thank You for the revelation in Your word. I praise You for saving me from ignorance, unbelief and religious arrogance. My understanding is now flooded with the light of Your word. My life can never be the same again as I keep learning humbly by the help of Your Spirit in Jesus Name. Amen !
