JESUS rightly answered the disciple who asked Him to teach them how to pray. Jesus therefore said unto them, “When you pray, say, Our Father Who is in Heaven”. He first reveals to them the subject of their prayer. “Our Father” implies our RELATIONSHIP we have with Papa God. *Thus, you must first have a real relationship with the Father through His Son Jesus Christ.* In other words, prayer is a Father and child affair. Do you acknowledge God as your Father?

God as our Father implies relationship, authority and responsibility. This is why if you are not SAVED you are never SAFE. For no man goes to the Father except through Jesus (John 14:6). It is your belief in Jesus Christ which qualifies you as a son or daughter of God; besides that you are just one of God’s creatures (John 1:12). God the Father receives prayers from His legitimate children in the Name of Jesus Christ. Again, Jesus said that, in prayer we should say “Hallowed be Your Name”. Thus, you must acknowledge and accord the Holy Name of the Father. His Name is like no other.

It’s a moment you worship and praise His holy Name, omnipotence, omnipresence and omniscience over all. Yes, His Name is sanctified, holy, without blame or spot. So you give reverence to His Name in your prayer. You don’t just ask things from God without bringing your sacrifice of praise and worship unto Him. Cherished one, the holy scripture reveals different kinds of prayer and the Lord’s prayer is only one of them which contains a lot of revelations. With this revelation, open your heart and mouth and pray to your Father Who is in heaven and lives in you by His Spirit in Jesus Name and He will answer you speedily. The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you always.

PRAYER
Dear Father in Heaven and also lives in me. Hallowed be Your Name. I bow my heart and knees and give reverence to Your majesty and excellency. You are worthy to receive my prayer offering. I offer them to You in the Name of the Lord Jesus Christ. Amen !
