35■” So likewise shall my heavenly Father do also unto you, if ye from your hearts forgive not every one his brother their trespasses.-[KJV]

PETER, one of the disciples of Christ usually asked Him questions bothering his mind. One question he asked was _“Lord, how often shall my brother sin against me, and I forgive him?…”(Mat 18:21)._ This question implies that, as long as you remain human and live on this earth, people will offend you and therefore you must be prepared to forgive them. Offenses may come from relatives, loved ones and friends, however, Christ taught us to forgive genuinely from our heart. *Do you know God forgives us from His heart and not just His mouth?*

Jesus taught us to forgive genuinely because He knew the ultimate essence of this virtue. He was sent to save the world from their sins, therefore had to forgive them not holding their sins against them (2 Cor 5:18; John 1:29; 1 John 2:1,2). Apostle Paul enjoins that _”In Him we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins…” (Eph 1:7)._ *The unwillingness to genuinely forgive others from your heart puts one in a “prison”.* Jesus died to save and forgive all your sins. Therefore, receive the ability and learn to forgive those who wrongly step on your toes.

You may be bitter or hurt because of a painful experience from a loved one or relative. But, as a New Creation, the love of God that makes you act like Him is shed abroad in your heart by the Holy Spirit (Rom 5:5). *Human nature will like to hold things but the Divine nature will always love to free lives despite their wrongs, mistakes and wickedness.* When you forgive others, God will also forgive your sins. Jesus said “Should you not also have had compassion on your fellow servant, even as I had pity on you? (Mat 18:33). Today, go and do the same. The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you always.

PRAYER
Dear Lord, I thank You for not counting my sins against me. Thank You for forgiven me all my sins. I totally humble myself to forgive others of all the trespasses willingly or unwillingly done against me. Thank You for the grace given me to do this. Hallelujah !
