27.■Do not withhold good from those who need it, when you have the ability to help.-|NET|

God has designed that we are blessed in order to be a blessing unto others. God has so many ways to answer our prayers. However, most times we see Him using people as the channel. And you may be the answer to someone’s prayer request. Do not think you deserve to be helped by others while you haven’t made up your mind to do same to others. This is why the scripture admonishes us to extend good or help to others. Our focused text says, do not withhold or hold back or deny good from those who need it.

Thus, you must walk with the mindset of a giver, not a miser. Be “wisely” generous and liberal to others when you have the ability. Note, it didn’t say IF it’s within your ability, which makes it conditional. But WHEN, that’s, you will definitely have the opportunity and ability to help others in one way or the other. The Holy Spirit through Apostle Paul enjoined this in the New Testament in Galatians 6:10 “As we have therefore opportunity, let us do good unto all men, especially unto them who are of the household of faith.”_ The Message Translation puts our focused text this way “Never walk away from someone who deserves help; your hand is God’s hand for that person ” (Proverbs 3:27).

Yes, as Christ ambassador, God loves to express Himself and His good deeds through you. He wants to use your hands to touch and bless lives; He loves to use you to make others smile and laugh. Your willingness, readiness and ability to do good or help others can reduce their burdens, load, sorrows and make life worth living for them. Refuse to procrastinate helping others; for the next verse says _”Do not say to your neighbor, Go, and come again; and tomorrow I will give”(Prv 3:28)_. Extend good to others; don’t be cold-hearted and procrastinate. For the good you make happen to others, God will make happen to you in this journey of life. The grace our Lord Jesus Christ be with you always.

PRAYER

Good Father, thank You for igniting in me the readiness, willingness and ability to offer help and goodness to the brethren. I avail myself to be used as a change agent in people’s live today. Thank You for giving me such grace in Jesus Name. Amen!
