24/7 DOXA Content-17th November-EXERCISE THE POWER OF GOD IN YOU

17.¶And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall THEY cast out devils; THEY shall speak with new tongues; -[KJV] ||||

OBSERVING our opening text carefully, you’ll find that Jesus places greater sense of responsibility on those who’ll believe in Him and His Gospel to do some works. According to Jesus, those who believe shall experience certain supernatural encounters. They will be infused with supernatural power. Anytime Jesus sent His disciples, He gave them POWER to do greater works. He told them ” Behold, I give unto you POWER to tread on serpents and scorpions… (Luk 10:19). Matthew 10:1 also confirms ” And when he had called unto him his twelve disciples, he gave them POWER against unclean spirits...”.

His final words to them in Acts 1:8 says “but you shall receive POWER after the Holy Spirit has come upon you…”. So the scripture affirms that when you believe in Jesus, you receive the power of the Holy Spirit and that power must be exercised, and not lie dormant. From the opening text, the first manifestation of the supernatural power is that “THEY shall cast out devils in Jesus’ Name”. He placed the duty on the believers (THEY). Note He didn’t say “I will cast out devils for the believers”. No ! The onus lies on the believers who are now empowered by God to do greater works (John 14:12).

When Jesus commands you to cast out devils, it implies that you are superior over them. He said in Matthew 28:18,19 “ALL POWER (not some) is given unto me in heaven and in earth, therefore go and teach the nations….” Hallelujah ! Cherished one, you have with you the ONE who has all power in heaven and earth. This is why you can cast out devils. Jesus knew that after His departure the devils would still work so He gave us more than enough power to cast them out and overrule their activities. Anything you see in your life that contradicts God’s word, will and ways has a demonic influence. But give no place for FEAR and panic. EXERCISE the power in you over any contrary situation. Cast, stop, resist them in the Name of Jesus Christ. Yes, that duty is not on God, but on you. The grace of our LORD Jesus Christ be with you always.

PRAYER
Dear Father, thank You for giving me total victory over the devil and his cohorts. By the power invested in me, I cast, stop and resist all contrary winds of the wicked one. I exercise Your power over any situation that’s not in Your plan for my life. I triumph and always more than a conqueror in the mighty Name of Jesus Christ. Amen!_
