EXCELLING THROUGH PROPHECY

1 Corinthians 14 vs

ONE gracious gift God gave to the body of Christ is the gift of prophecy. Note, the gift of prophecy can be desired by every believer (1 Cor 14:1). It’s different from the office of a prophet. So we all have a prophetic mandate on our lives, even though not all are called by God to function in the prophetic as an office. Its major function is in threefold according to our focused text. It is for edification: edification means building up. Thus, the act of one who promotes another’s growth in the virtues of God.

Are you down in your Christian life? Do you feel depressed and rejected? Then you need to submit to the gift of prophecy. Prophecy could be words inspired by the Holy Spirit from the scripture. As you receive these inspired words in faith into your life, you are built up like an edifice. Suppression, oppression and depression can never get a hold of you. Always prophesy your way to the top for your up-building and constructive spiritual progress. Two, prophecy excites exhortation. Exhortation implies an admonition or a persuasive discourse for stirring you up. Exhortation brings you relief. It also helps you to be on track.

Finally, he who prosphesies brings people comfort. There is a sense of consolation or encouragement in prophecy. Comforting others is doing the work of a paraclete. To prophesy also means to speak words of power. The word of God is full of active power for total transformation.* Cherished one, cease not to prophesy. Prophesy God’s mind and purposes concerning your Christian life, ministry, marriage, finances, health etc. This is a spiritual law which makes you excel in this life. The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you always.

I DECLARE
In the Name of Jesus Christ, I prophesy my way to the top. I speak unto myself for edification, exhortation and comfort. I am the head and above only. I am not the tail. I am fulfilling the purpose of God in all excellence. I manifest the glory of God in all I do. I make progress. I am a success. Hallelujah!_
