24/7 DOXA Content, 27th February-ESCAPED THE CORRUPTION IN THIS WORLD

GOD’S divine power has given us ALL things that pertain to life and godliness through the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ. Besides, we are also called into glory and virtue (moral excellence). Our focused text unveils that we have been given precious and wonderful promises, so that through them we participate in the divine nature. And the reason we can fully partake of the divine nature is that we have escaped the corruption that is in the world caused by evil desires. Receiving the life of God into you recreates your inner man after God in righteousness and true holiness (Ephesians 4:24).

Therefore, your spirit man is delivered from death and corruption into the life of God. Even though Apostle Peter affirmed the fact that there is CORRUPTION in this world, he said we have escaped it. The word “corruption” in the Greek rendition “phthora” means ruin, moral decay, destruction, danger, perishable. If you are alive in this era, you are aware of this fact. However, you must be conscious of this reality that you have escaped from this corruption. This implies that you have fled away by seeking safety in Jesus Christ.

It is only in Christ that you are insulated from the corruption in this world. In Him you have escaped safely out of danger. Therefore, you have the power to say NO to sin or any form of moral decadence, lies, immoral lifestyle and ungodliness. For you are not of the world; you HAVE ESCAPED from its corruption. Cherished one, be ruled by this mindset that you are not living according to patterns of the secular system; refuse to conform to their way of talking, thinking and lifestyle; because you are a partaker of the divine nature. And therefore display only the virtues of that glorious nature. The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you always.

I DECLARE
Thanks be to the Lord that I have been given precious and wonderful promises. Divinity has empowered and called me into a life of glory and virtue. I am insulated and escaped from the corruption in this world. I am living to display the divine nature by the power of the Holy Spirit in me. Hallelujah!_
