Note, when God talks about contentment, He speaks as opposed to attitudes of selfishness, envy, jealousy, greed, self-centredness and lack of appreciation. Thus, He doesn’t speak of contentment as against having more or increasing in wealth or abundance. As part of God’s desire is to put all your trust or contentment in Him, not in any substance. Because Jesus said “…Beware! Keep yourselves from covetousness, for a man’s life doesn’t consist of the abundance of the things which he possesses” (Luke 12:15)._

You have to be content with whatever resource you have in order to utilize it in maximum capacity. Refuse to envy others because of what they have. Your ability to be satisfied with what you have means you can have the peace, serenity and strength to handle more. Apostle Paul admonishes on how he lives his life. He said “Not that I speak in respect of want: for I have learned, in whatsoever state I am, therewith to be content” (Phi 4:11). So you ought to learn to be content with whatever you have in whatever stage you are. People who misunderstand this revelation find any dubious means to meet their needs.

As a Child of God, all that your heavenly Father has is yours. And He will not withhold any good thing from you. Cherished one, refuse to be pressured by the current trend of worldly riches and wealth. Refuse to engage in any unworthy course for riches; because you will fall into temptations, snare and many senseless and harmful desires leading to ruin and destruction (1 Timothy 6:6-10). *Be satisfied with what you have and press into God for more accordingly.* The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you always.

PRAYER
Blessed Father, I thank You for blessing me with all that pertains to life and godliness. My sufficiency is of You. So I am rest assured in You, provisions and supply. I refuse to walk in envy or jealousy, for all things are mine. With You, I have all that I have and will ever need. You are the source of my contentment and satisfaction in Jesus Name. Amen !
