PEOPLE who don’t study the Bible in a balanced way have created a lot of misconceptions and teachings in our modern world. You will hear someone say “I will never be in Church for anything, because God is everywhere. I can be in my room and pray and God will answer me”. Whenever you hear such statements, it is full of arrogance and ignorance. There are some people who are too ignorant and arrogant to the extent that they don’t know and accept they are ignorant of the revelation of the Scriptures.

Our focal text is part of an event which took place when Jesus died and rose from the dead. But at His first appearance, Thomas wasn’t with the Disciples. But Jesus had already blessed, instructed and impacted those available saying “Peace be unto you, as my Father has sent me, even so do I send you. And when he had said this, he breathed on them, and said unto them, Receive the Holy Spirit:” (John 20:19-22). So since Thomas wasn’t available, He missed the blessings of peace, the instruction of being sent and the impactation of the Holy Spirit.

No wonder he started doubting when they reported to him that Jesus had resurrected. Beloved, whenever you miss the gathering of the saints, there are certain blessings and impactations you lose. Refuse to be like Thomas and be always available in the house of the Lord. Cherished one, do not forsake the gathering of the saints in arrogance. For you need both your personal and corporate anointing to thrive in this Christian walk. The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you always.

PRAYER
Thank You Precious Father for the blessings and strength that come from fellowshipping with You. As I gather together with the brethren I enjoy the corporate anointing, blessing and impactation that comes from the Head of the Church in Jesus Name. Amen!
