ALMOST every book in this world promises to deliver some sort of comfort and and enlightenment. However, it is not every book that has divine backing. If you are a Christian and hasn’t taken the Bible seriously, then you are missing a lot. Make a determined decision to get serious with the holy Bible. Our focal text unveils a remarkable truth about the holy scriptures. The word “scriptures” refers to the Greek word “graphē”, which denotes a book written or it’s contents.
Therefore, there are many scriptures in the world with diverse contents. But the holy Bible is different in that it’s contents are given by the inspiration of the most high God, the Maker of heaven and earth. It has divine backing or mandate. Thus, the words are not mere human imaginations or assumptions. The ideas are God-thought, breathed or divinely inspired.
It contains the message of God’s heart or will poured in a written form by holy men, not secular. 2 Peter 1:21 says “For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost.” Since it was inspired by God, it has a divine authority. And you can rely on it; and apply it for your life to blossom in glory. Fellowship with the sweet Holy Spirit, the teacher and Spirit of all truth to help you enjoy the efficacy of the scriptures in your life. The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you always.
PRAYER
Cherished Father, I blessed Your Name for the infallible holy scriptures written for my benefit. I believe in the Holy Scripture as Your authoritative voice over my life which gives me wisdom, knowledge and understanding to live a glorious life. I receive greater insight and discernment from your Spirit to enjoy Your Word in Jesus Name. Amen !
