24/7 DOXA Content, 17th September-ANOINTED WITH THE OIL OF GLADNESS

Hebrews 1:2 says God is speaking to us in these last by His Son. In other words, Christ Jesus, the author and finisher of our Faith life is the eternal voice for these last days. Therefore it is vital we learn from the revelation of His person, character and continue to emulate to live like Him. Our focus text says that Jesus loved righteousness. Thus, He delighted in integrity, virtue, and uprightness in purpose, thought, and action and hated lawlessness, injustice and iniquity. And that caused God to anoint Him with the oil of gladness.

To anoint one means to consecrate into an office for a holy or sanctified purpose. It also means to designate or ordain one into a mandated office. Beloved, it is worth noting that there are different dimensions of anointing that God imparts to His children. One received by Jesus according to our focal text is called the oil of gladness or exultant joy. Note that, the oil used here is NOT MATERIAL OIL, but spiritual one which is symbolic. Christ is crowned Lord of all and He operates in different dimensions of anointing. In Acts 10:38, it is written He was anointed with the Holy Spirit and power but here it is the oil of gladness.

This is why whoever comes to Christ experiences unending joy despite seemingly difficulties or challenges. The joy found in Christ keeps them moving no matter the situation. Whoever is joined unto Christ is also joined unto His joy. Cherished one, one vital truth that our focal text unveils is that there are positive rewards or treasures that comes to whoever loves righteousness and hates iniquity. And the anointing of the oil of gladness is one of them. I pray the Lord empowers you by His Spirit to walk in all righteousness and enjoy the benefits thereof. The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you always.

Dear Precious Father, I thank You for Your works in Your Son which brings glorious benefits in my life. As I conform to the image of Your Son I also enjoy what He enjoyed from You. I am anointed with the oil of exultant joy and gladness in all aspect of my life in Jesus Name !
