24/7 DOXA Content, 29th November-ABOUND IN THE WORK OF THE LORD

AS WE approach the second coming of Jesus Christ, one area you must strive to abound is the work of the Lord. The work of the Lord refers to any occupation that relates to pushing the teaching, lifestyle or system of the kingdom of God. It also involves your effective service to God as a believer. Do you believe God calls people to do His work? You may fall within that category. You may be playing a role in God’s house as an elder, deacon, usher, instrumentalist, cleaner or pastor etc.

Every Christian is called to do the work of the Lord, even though some have been specially called into the office of the pastor, prophet, evangelist, teacher teacher etc. *So if you are privileged to be called by God then you must take it very serious and work for the Lord.* Our focal text says you must abound in the work of God. _To abound here means to excel more than or to make progress in excellence and diligence._ Don’t just serve the Lord, rather serve Him in excellence and diligence.

Cherished one, you should always excel in any task given to you in the house of God and your personal service to the Lord. *Take it serious because God deserves the best of your reasonable service.* Concerning the spreading of the gospel of our Lord Jesus, refuse to keep quiet. Tell the world about His love. Tell the untold, reach out to the unreached. Don’t serve very well in your secular job or office and deal with God’s work lackadaisically. As you do this from your heart, God will specially reward you. The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you always.

I DECLARE 
I choose to abound in the work of the Lord. I refuse to play with it. I do it with all my heart in all seriousness. I am empowered by the Spirit to be effective in the work of the Lord. I won’t keep quiet about the gospel. I spread it to promote kingdom business in Jesus Name. Amen !
