GRACIOUS greetings, Cherished one. Our focal text now explains the reason why you should not allow anyone to criticize you for what you eat or drink, or for not celebrating Jewish holidays and feasts or new moon ceremonies or Sabbaths. And that these were a shadow of the things to come, but the reality is Christ. In other words, they only have a temporary symbolic value or rules written in types, figures, and representations of the spiritual.
For instance, the different “meats and drinks”, clean and unclean, allowed or forbidden by the law, were emblems of the two people, the Jews and Gentiles, the one clean, the other unclean; but since these have become one in Christ, the distinction of meats is ceased. Also, the “holy days”, or “feasts” of the Jews, the feasts of tabernacles, of the Passover and Pentecost, were types of Christ. For example, the Passover was a type of Christ, our Passover, sacrificed for us and was kept by Moses in the faith of Him (Hebrews 11:28/ 1 Corinthians 5:7).
So, Christ is the end of them. They have all their accomplishment in Him. All the significance, graces, blessings and truths promised in them are all fulfilled in Christ. So look unto Christ, the author and finisher of your faith, not the shadows. Seek to grow in the knowledge and the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ to enjoy Him fully in all dimensions. The rich grace of our Lord Jesus Christ abounds towards you always.

I DECLARE
I have the Lord Jesus Christ, I have the reality of all that relates to salvation, life and godliness. I do not find perfection in observation of festival or ceremonies. Christ is my contentment and perfection forever. He is the author and finisher of my faith. In Him, I live and move and have my being forever. Hallelujah!_
