IT IS very dangerous to live your life without patterning it after Jesus Christ, the author and finisher of our faith (Hebrews 12:2). Prior to our focal text, Jesus had cursed a fig tree by the power of His words and “Now in the morning, as they passed by, they saw the fig tree dried up from the roots. And Peter, remembering, said to Him, “Rabbi, look! The fig tree which You cursed has withered away.” (Mark 11:20,21). Jesus spoke to a fig tree and the tree heard it and responded. Why? Because in the realms of the spirit both living and non-living things have ears to hear.
Remember, He also spoke to the wind and the sea and they obeyed Him (Mat 8:26, 27). He said in another place that He could raise up stones to praise Him if men keep mute on His praises (Luke 19:40). The then disciples were marveled to see the fig tree die within that short period. So Jesus taught them the spiritual law that made it possible. First, the law of faith. He said to them, “Have faith in God” or the God kind of faith (Mark 11:22). Two, the law of saying or commanding your mountain; “For assuredly, I say to you, whoever says to THIS mountain…” According to Jesus, this is how we overcome challenges in our lives; By commanding in the faith whose source and power is God, not your works.
And this type of faith SAYS something to the challenge. Thus, it is a speaking faith, not a silent faith. Whoever with this faith shall SPEAK or SAY to this mountain, not God, but the challenge, the sickness or the troubles will see results. The Greek word for “SAY” as used in our focal text means to BID or COMMAND. This kind of faith makes you a commander, not a beggar or just a talkative. And every commander is ordained for results. In this journey of life, it is either you master challenges or they will master you. You have been given authority. Exercise this in the power of God against anything that contradict the glorious life in Christ. Keep on commanding and they will obey you. The rich grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you always.
I DECLARE
By the power of the Holy Spirit in me and the authority vested in me by Christ, I command anything contrary to the glorious life in Christ to be removed and be cast out of my life right now. I believe and have what I say now in Jesus Mighty Name. Amen!
