BLESSED greetings, Cherished one. It is very vital we break the shackles of religion in order to enjoy the salvation we have in Christ. Wrong teachings result in wrong living. Another restriction that they put the believers was the Sabbath. They did the same thing to Jesus Christ for healing and doing God’s work on the Sabbath day. But Jesus explained to them the dispensation of grace where sabbath is not focused on a day but the Lord of the Sabbath.

Our focal text used sabbaths in the plural form to mean the jubilee sabbath, which was one year in fifty; and the sabbath of the land, which was one year in seven; and the seventh-day sabbath, which the Israelites were to abstain from all work. The Sabbath simply means rest. In the new covenant, Christ is our rest (Hebrews 4:10). You have rest in Christ at all times. Jesus told them in Matthew 12:8 “For the Son of Man is Lord of the Sabbath.”
This means He is the owner or master or focus of the Sabbath. Therefore let no one impose or criticise you for fellowshipping on Saturday or Sunday or Monday or for not observing a day as holy or sacred. For the Sabbath was a shadow of the real to come. In the New Testament, we serve God at all times in the spirit and truth of Christ, not on a specific day. Yes, Jesus is the one we celebrate and honour at all times. He is the Lord of our rest. A day is not our lord or master. Enjoy Christ (rest) to the fullest. The rich grace of our Lord Jesus Christ abounds towards you always.

I DECLARE
Jesus Christ is my Lord and Saviour. He is my holiness. I do not serve a day, I serve and honour Christ at all times. I am born into Christ, my rest. I have ceased from my labour to obtain holiness. I am free to enjoy Christ to the fullest. Hallelujah!
