GRACIOUS greetings Cherished one. What is the essence of mercy as a nature of God? Every nature of God is for the benefit of His children. He is rich in mercy towards us because of the good things He desires to accomplish in us. Thus, the expression of His mercy is to empower you to experience His goodness and walk in godliness. Yes, the Bible says the goodness of the Lord leads to repentance, not rebellion (Romans 2:4). In other words, as the Lord lavishes His mercy and grace on our lives, it will cause us to walk daily with Him with a renewed mindset of love and godly character.
Also, God’s mercy is to keep you safe unto Himself and deliver you from the wickedness of the devil and consequences of sin. Thus, God’s mercy shown us puts the devil, the accuser of the brethren into silence in your life. His accusations against you are brought to nothing because of the mercy of the Lord. Where the devil demands condemnation, the Lord’s mercy offers free justification. The claws of sin has no power over you when the Lord shows you mercy. Our focal text says it’s by the Lord’s mercy that we are not consumed.
The word “consumed” as used in our focal text means “to be finished, come to an end, cease to exist, fail or be destroyed”. So His mercy shields us from being consumed by Satan and sin. Hallelujah! For His mercy serves as a protective covering and shield against the arsenals and wickedness of the devil. Therefore, don’t take His mercies for granted. Rather, utilize it for good. For His mercy is available to establish you for His godly purpose. Psalms 21:7 says ”For the king trust in the LORD, and through the mercy of the most High he shall not be moved.” The rich grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you always. Amen !

PRAYER
Thank You Merciful Father for preserving me by Your rich mercy. By Your mercy I am not consumed nor destroyed. I am established and refreshed by the abundance of Your mercy. Your rich mercy is influencing me for godliness in Jesus Name.
