SHALOM greetings, Cherished one. It is a powerful revelation to see and know that you have a great high priest, Jesus Christ, the Son of God. Our focal text continues “let us hold fast our confession.” “Confession” originates from the Greek word “homologeo”. It means to declare or profess the same thing in consent. Thus, to agree, assent or acknowledging the same thing. There is a particular confession we make in our Kingdom.

Our first confession is our faith in Christ. Jesus said in Matthew 10:32 “Whosoever, therefore, shall confess me before men, him will I confess also before my Father which is in heaven.” So you are to stand firmly by your acknowledgement of Jesus as the Christ, Lord and Saviour. (Romans 10:910). Hebrews 10:23 reiterates “And let us hold unwaveringly to the hope that we confess…” We also see the confession of our hope.

To “hold fast” means to use strength or power to seize or retain something. Hold fast the confessions of faith and hope in Christ Jesus without wavering, doubt or agitation because the Lord is faithful. Hold fast to the confession of the truths of God’s word despite the challenges. Speak the same things as revealed in Scripture concerning the Great High Priest. Don’t speak contrary. The rich grace of our Lord Jesus Christ abounds towards you always.

I DECLARE
I have the great High Priest, Jesus Christ the Son of God. Therefore I firmly hold the confession of my faith and hope in Him without wavering, doubt, or agitation. I declare and confess in consent the truths of God’s word upon my despite challenges in Jesus Blessed Name. Amen!
