One challenge of this century is that many scholars, documentaries and scholars rise against the authenticity of God’s word. However, their major aim is to rise against Jesus Christ, the living Word. So there are folks who believe everything written about Jesus is a fictitious story. But our focal text says something very different. Our focal text unfolds certain revelations of the Son of the Living God, Jesus Christ.
He is the same yesterday. Yesterday implies “in time past”. He being the same yesterday can first be seen in His person. The Bible says “For in him dwells all the fulness of the Godhead bodily” (Col 2:9). His personality has not changed. He said to the Pharisees that “Before Abraham was, I am” (Luke 8:58). Also, in time past, He extended His love to His disciples by calling and transforming their destinies.
In time past, He healed all manner of sicknesses and diseases and raised the dead including the daughter of Jairus (Mat 4:23; Luke 8:54). Jesus fed over 5000 people with five loaves of bread and two fishes. In times past, He died and resurrected and is seated on the right hand of God. Cherished one, the person, wisdom, love and power of this same Jesus hasn’t changed. You can rely on Him for a glorious life. The rich grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you always.
PRAYER
Precious Jesus, I adore You. I give You all the glory. You are the King of kings and Lord of lords. Reign in Your majesty. Your person, power, love, wisdom and nature haven’t changed. Blessed be unto Your Name forevermore. Amen !
