4》》” Whatever was thus written in former days was written for our instruction, that by [our steadfast and patient] endurance and the encouragement [drawn] from the Scriptures we might hold fast to and cherish hope.”》》AMPLIFIED》

WE have been admonished through our focal text that the sacred scriptures were written for our learning or training; And spending quality time with it inspires in you patience (endurance) and comfort. Finally, the endurance and comfort of scriptures breeds in you a living hope. Thus, your trust in the God of the holy scriptures and what He did for those of old will ignite a living hope in you. The Greek word “elpis” for hope means to “anticipate usually with pleasure or expectant with absolute confidence.”
This kind of hope is driven on the impetus of God’s revealed ability in the Scriptures. As you humbly submit to the fidelity of God’s word, you can’t remain hopeless. It pays to hope in the truth, faithfulness and integrity of God’s word. By so doing, you just walk in a joyful and confident expectation that God CAN’T fail and He’ll honour His promises concerning you. Abraham came to this point and the scriptures says _“against hope, he believed in hope” (Rom 4:18) Hallelujah!
Hope is so important that faith depends on it. Because faith is the substance of things HOPED for… (Hebrews 11:1). Hope is your glorious seed for a glorious future. A person without hope or joyous expectation is a person without a future. Without hope, you won’t have the strength or energy to cope in times of challenges. People of hope believe that “A living dog is better than a dead lion” (Eccle 9:4). Cherished one, keep your hope alive; even against hope believe in hope. Walk in joyful and confident expectations (hope) and you will experience the manifestation of God’s best in your life. The rich grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you always.
PRAYER
_Blessed be my Father, Lord God Almighty, The Maker of heaven and earth. Thank You for all the beautiful and glorious admonishment from Your infallible word. Through Your holy scriptures, I walk in endurance, comfort, joyful and confident hope in You forever. My hope is kept alive in You forever and I enjoy the glorious results of putting my hope in Your word in Jesus Mighty Name. Amen!_
