FOCAL TEXT: Colossians 2 vs 16
►► “ Let no man, therefore, judge you in meat, or in drink, or in respect of a holy day, or of the new moon, or of the sabbath days:~| NKJV|

SHALOM greetings, Cherished one. As you tell others to believe in Jesus Christ, the message of the gospel should be well delivered in the freedom that is in Him. We learned some days ago about how to avoid any restrictions on your Christian faith. The Jewish teachers erroneously informed the believing Jews to observe certain laws to make their salvation complete. It is on this premise that the Spirit of Christ through Apostle Paul admonished in our focal text not to allow anyone judge them in meat (food) or drink.

Another area to refuse restriction on your liberty in Christ is the observance of a holy day. A “holy day” here implies feasts or festivals. They had three grand feasts such as the feast of the Passover, the feast of tabernacles, and the feast of Pentecost. The Jewish males were obliged to appear before the Lord during these feasts. However, it was never binding on the believing Jews or the gentiles who had come to believe in Christ. Refusal to observe them has nothing to do with the salvation in Christ because their significance is fulfilled in Him.
Christ is the fulfillment of the essence of these feasts and therefore they are not to be imposed on you, neither are you condemned for the neglect of them. For instance, 1 Corinthians 5:7 says Christ has now become our Passover. Beloved, it is vital to know the anchor on which your salvation is built so that you will serve the Lord in the liberty that Christ gives. Allow no feast or festival to limit you from enjoying the complete salvation in Christ. The rich grace of our Lord Jesus Christ abounds towards you always.
My salvation in Christ is intact because it does not rely on adhering to dietary restrictions or observance of certain festivals. My salvation is complete in Christ Jesus. I am saved by grace through faith. I, therefore, have the liberty to enjoy and serve my Lord in peace and freedom. Hallelujah!
Pray and thank God for the glorious assurance of your salvation which rests in Christ Jesus.
You are not safe until you are saved. Believe in Jesus Christ Now, if you haven’t.
