BLISSFUL greetings, Cherished. As we preach and spread the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ, many people would ask questions about the simplicity of the gospel. What does it mean to believe? The Greek word mostly used for “believe” in the New Testament is from the root word “peithō”. From it, we have words such as faith, persuasion, conviction, credence and reliance. So faith or belief in Jesus means to have a credible adherence, assurance and trust in Him.
In other words, it means to fully rely on and trust in Jesus Christ for who He is and what He provides. And He is the Son of the Living God and offers salvation for free to your total being (spirit, soul and body) (John 6:68). Thus, faith is a spiritual persuasion and conviction which emanates from your heart as you hear/ listen to the gospel; because the gospel inspires faith in you ( Romans 1:17/10:17/ Galatians 3:8/ Philippians 1:27). We believe with the heart (spirit man) not with the mind (Romans 10:10).
Your spirit man is designed to respond to spiritual things and your mind for intellectualism. Your mind is based on reasonings and feelings. Your heart can contain truths that your mind can’t. Salvation is the Saviour’s duty, believing in Him is your responsibility. If you have believed in Jesus Christ, tell MANY people that Jesus still saves so they should believe in Him for eternal salvation. The rich grace of our Lord Jesus Christ abounds towards you always.

Precious Father, I thank You for saving me. I receive empowerment to tell others about Jesus, the Christ and His salvation. Hallelujah!
