BLESSED greetings to you Cherished one. I believe many had resolutions, dreams, prayer requests, petitions and heart desires at the beginning of this year that has not been materialized. Sometimes in life, such situations happen when certain things you need per time may not come out as planned. But when it happens like that, what do you do? Do you complain and blame everybody including yourself? Our focal text portrays a beautiful picture and posture in such times. When there are challenges, failures, disappointments and seemingly difficult situations, it is disheartening.
But you must be determined to CHOOSE to rely on God’s word by faith and boldly say _”Yet I will rejoice in the Lord, I will joy in the God of my salvation.”_ Yes, this may not sound pleasant to the senses but it is the sure way of the Spirit if you want to move ahead. This statement is a declaration of faith. It also paints a picture of rejoicing in what God can do than what has not happened. *It positions you to press on and see the brighter side of all the challenges you have been through.* The fact that your “fig tree” did not blossom this year does not mean it will never blossom.
No matter what you went through this year, you are being inspired to rejoice in the Lord. What you went through may not be a cause to rejoice but as long as you remain in the Lord, rejoice in Him. Refuse to feel sad, sorrowful and dejected in life. *Papa God has never left you nor forsaken you because of your challenges.* Rise above it and start to rejoice in the God of your salvation. In other words, as you rejoice in the God who gives you salvation, all other stuff will begin to unfold. Rejoice ! Shout for joy in the Lord. Be joyful as you enter the new year with a living hope. Never allow anything or person to stop you from rejoicing in the Lord. The rich grace of our Lord Jesus Christ abounds towards you always.
PRAYER
Dear Joyful Father, in You I find my joy and consolation to move on in life. I graciously choose to rejoice in You, my God who gives me salvation. In You, I have all that pertains to life and godliness. Therefore, I will not allow anything to stop my joy in Jesus Blessed Name. !
