WHEN you genuinely encounter the revelation of God’s word unveiled in the truth of your identity in Christ, it also gives you a certain kind of intelligence which is known as prudence. Prudence in the Greek refers to intellectual or moral insight. In other words, it means mental activity. In the Hebrew, it means engaging wisdom strategies. It is synonymous to discretion or good sense. Jesus had been noted widely as the most wisest man who ever lived. He walked in much wisdom as a result of divine intelligence upon His life.
He never took the natural laws for granted when the need be. For instance, He used boats to sail the sea, so He walked on the water once. He borrowed Peter’s boat as a plaform to preach the gospel so that the waves could amplify His voice to the multitudes (Luke 5). Even though He had power to override natural laws, He sometimes subjected Himself to it.
In our focal text, we see Jesus applying another dimension of intelligence. Jesus had performed a miracle by feeding over 5000 people with five loaves of bread and two fishes. Afterwards, He told His disciples to gather the fragments so that nothing be lost. This is prudence at work. He was so intelligent to entertain wastage of resources. He never took things for granted. Cherished one, the revelation of God’s word will give you certain kind of intelligence (prudence or discretion) to run the affairs of life successfully. So allow divine intelligence to guide you in every area of your life. The rich grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you always.
PRAYER
Glorious Father, I thank You for the revelation of Your word which enables me to walk in wisdom, discretion and prudence. I make wise decisions to guide the affairs of my life. My eyes and minds are opened to make intelligent decisions and actions in Jesus Mighty Name. Amen !
