THE holy scriptures vividly affirm that Jesus Christ was hated almost from every angle. Even in His infancy, Herod hated the idea of a new born king aside him; So he hated and wanted to kill Him; However, God intervened and sent His angel to Joseph in a dream for a divine escape (Matt 2:13). When He grew up too, the Scribes and the Pharisees hated Him to the core. Come to think of it, what will make another man hate someone? Hatred is a sure sign that you don’t love the person. *Hatred is more than a word, it comes to a point where it becomes a bad spirit in the person.*
Aside Jesus, Joseph was hated by his own relatives. Hatred is a sign that they don’t support your personality or what you are born to accomplish on this earth. A cursory observation of Jesus’ ministry points out some reasons why the Jews, Scribes and Pharisees hated Him. And these keys explain why most people hate others. One, they didn’t understand the person of Jesus as the Son of God. They saw Him as an ordinary person boasting of God as His Father. Many through misunderstanding are hating others.
But as a New Creation, you are not to hate anyone created in God’s image and likeness. Two, they didn’t possess what Jesus have. Jesus was full of divine wisdom, love, understanding, power, Holy Spirit, anointing and knowledge but theirs were just based on human understanding, laws and traditions of men (Acts 10:38). Cherished one, hatred is a sign that you are not ready to embrace the good in others.* No matter how bad a person is, there may be something good hidden in him. *Learn to let love lead and choose to embrace the best in others. Hatred is costly and ungodly.The rich grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you always.
PRAYER
_Father of love, I thank You for loving me even in my weakness. I now understand the power of Your love towards me. Therefore I refuse to hate others. I graciously choose to love and embrace the good in others in the Mighty Name of Jesus Christ. Amen !_
