MANKIND, GOD’S MOST CHERISHED TREASURE

WHY would God create man and put everything under his care? Why would God even initiate such a thought about man? Genesis makes us understand that _”God said, “Let’s make man in our image, after our likeness. Let them have dominion…” (Genesis 1:26)._ Also, the Bible says _”The heavens are Yahweh’s heavens, but He has given the earth to the children of men” (Psalm 115:16)._ Everything on this earth revolves around mankind. *God created the sun, stars, the earth and its fullness for the benefit of mankind.* So King David looking and thinking about all these asked “what is man that You are mindful of him?

Personalizing this, you can ask who I am that God is so mindful of me? What have I done so right or perfect that God treasures me? *Beloved, you are created in the image and likeness of God and He wouldn’t watch “His image and likeness” riot in destruction, pain and misery.* This is one reason God is so mindful of you. Being mindful also means He gives you so much attention. He cares so much for you and interested in all your affairs; so Jesus said _”…the very hairs of your head are all numbered. Therefore don’t be afraid. You are of more value than many sparrows” (Mat 10:30-31)_ Don’t allow anyone or theory to deceive you that are nothing or just a matter. No! You worth more than anything He created.

Cherished one, you are God’s interest. You are God’s special envoy, His most prized possession. Yes, you are God’s most cherished treasure because you are a part of Him. He even went to the extent to send forth His Son to die and resurrect for you. *Therefore, before you can live fully as God’s most cherished treasure, you must accept and believe in His only begotten Son;* (John 3:16) and your life will amount to everything God made you for. The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you always.

PRAYER
_Everlasting Father, I thank You for creating me as Your most cherished and prized possession. I am so delighted to be created in Your image and likeness. I thank You for loving me and nurturing me to conform to the image of Your Son in Jesus Name. Amen !_
