2 Corinthians 1 vs
20.■”For all the promises of God in Him are Yes, and in Him Amen, to the glory of God through us.”~《NKJV》

WHENEVER you study the holy scriptures, you must take cognizance of the various tenses used in every text. Never take them for granted at all. There are present, past, past participle and future tenses in the Bible. However, some folks overlook them. But this is one principal way to distinguish between promises and fulfilled ones. A fulfilled promise or prophecy is no more a promise to the believer. For instance, many prophecies in the Old Testament were fulfilled in the New Testament concerning Jesus and the Church.

Therefore, they are no more promises, but rather fulfillments, truth or realities to be believed and live out as such. One important aspect of these is about Jesus and what He came to do for humanity. Since there are promises and some fulfillments in the Bible, it is expedient for us to know and wait for the promises and also enjoy those fulfilled ones. One major fulfilled promise is everlasting life or eternal life (1John 2:25). Some teach that it’s only when you die that you can have everlasting life, but that’s never true according to scriptures. Eternal life is received on this earth and it affects your human spirit, soul and body (2Cor 5:17).

*Yes, you received the God kind of life when you believed in Jesus Christ as your Lord (Romans 10:9,10). Therefore you have it now.* (John 3:16;1:12,13; 3:36). As a matter of truth, if you don’t receive eternal life here through Jesus our Lord, forget about it when you die. Your opportunity to believe in Christ is only activated on earth. It will be too late when you die. Remember the parable of the rich man and Lazarus (Luke 16:19-31). So if you are born again, you possess eternal life (Jon 3:16; 1 John 5:11,12). It’s your present-hour possession. Cherished one, you have it now in your spirit, therefore fashion your thoughts, words and actions accordingly. Live and enjoy this fulfilled promise to the fullest. The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you. Amen !

Dear Father, thank You for enabling my spirit to understand the deep things of God. I am living in the fulfillment of Your promises. I possess eternal life right now. Yes, I posses Your kind of life in my spirit, which influences my thoughts and actions. Therefore, I think, speak and act accordingly as one having it. All the praises to Your name forever in Jesus’ Name. Amen !

◇ Enjoy A Lovely Friday ◇
