FAVOURED greetings, Cherished one. Apostle James tells us the source of every good and perfect gift is God. Since God is good and perfect, that nature of Him envelopes the gifts He gives. Yea, God does not trade in synthetic goods and fake deals. Since God is not the author of sin or evil, He could not be the author of its results such as sickness, sorrows, death, poverty, curses, failure etc. God does not work evil nor bring evil to His children. He gives beneficial and perfect gifts. We know this by looking at the life of Jesus, the express image of God.

The life of Christ explains the express nature and attitude of the Father. God anointed Jesus with the Holy Spirit and with power and He went about doing GOOD and healing all that were oppressed of the devil (Acts 10:38). If God is the author of poverty, sickness or oppression then the work of Jesus Christ would contradict the Father’s will. But thanks to God, Jesus came to do the will of the Father, not that of the devil (Hebrews 10:7). Oppression in any form is from the devil.

Now, every good and perfect gift has a receiver in mind. The receivers are God’s children; who are called children of light in 1 Thessalonians 5:5. So our God is the Father of lights, not darkness. And He has freely given us all perfect and good gifts in Christ (Romans 8:32). We are to consistently grow in the knowledge of the Son of God to fully know and enjoy every good and perfect gift from the Father. The rich grace of our Lord Jesus Christ abounds towards you always.
