SHALOM greetings, Cherished one. We are learning how God’s grace trains us. We learned that it trains us to deny ungodliness. The salvation grace also trains to us deny worldly lust or passions. Lust simply means an insatiable or rushy craving for what is forbidden. It is the craving for what contradicts God’s word or character. Worldly lust refers to the longing or desires that are inspired by worldly systems of thinking, words and lifestyles.
Worldly lust comes in so many forms but Apostle John categorized into three: _For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father… (1 John 2:16 )._ Lust of the flesh implies craving for sensual gratification. Lust of the eyes also refers to greedy longings of the mind. Pride of life refers to the assurance in one’s own resources or in the stability of earthly things. He added that these do not come from the Father but from the world.
Remember, these things are not afraid of any believer and they will come and tempt you in so many ways. But as our focal text used “denying”, it means it demands your constant denial or refusal as they come your way. As you grow in the grace and knowledge of the Son of God, you will be empowered to conquer them. The rich grace of our Lord Jesus Christ abounds towards you always.

PRAYER
Dear Father, I thank You for Your rich grace bestowed upon me training me to deny worldly lusts. I yield to Your love which is shed abroad in my heart to constrain me from worldly lust. I receive Your help to constantly grow in grace in Jesus Mighty Name. Amen !
