FAVOURED greetings Cherished one. It is expedient to know that God created a rational human being. However, being only rationale does not bring great results. That’s why you need the word of God to influence your rationality. God’s word is the light that makes our paths shine. The word helps us to become what God has designed for us. Jesus Christ said in John 15:3 “You are already clean because of the word which I have spoken to you.” Yes the word received and applied have a purifying power in all facet of our lives. That’s why we are learning preparation in diverse forms.

If your preparation is built on the foundation of God’s word, then you are on the right course. We’ve learned that as part of preparing for marriage, one needs to understand God’s perspectives of marriage. One angle of His perspectives is love and submission to each other. Ephesians 5:22-28 “Wives, submit to your own husbands, as to the Lord…Therefore, just as the church is subject to Christ, so let the wives be to their own husbands in everything…Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ also loved the church and gave Himself for her, So husbands ought to love their own wives as their own bodies; he who loves his wife loves himself.

Beloved, are you prepared to submit and love each other? Love and submission make a great marriage. Arrogance, unforgiveness, hatred, keeping records of wrongs and quarrels fight against the success of marriages. *Don’t wait to get married before you learn love and submission. Learn to love and submit to the Brethren as a child of God so that it wouldn’t be new to you in marriage.* The rich grace of our Lord Jesus Christ abounds towards you always. Amen !
