SIMON PETER had tried all his fishing experiences, long acquired skills, wisdom and dexterity, but caught nothing. However, our focal text unveils that the word from Christ influenced his new decision. He said “at Your word, I will let down the net”. He decided to operate by the “word-experience”, not his ideas anymore. *Many want to limit the word to their experiences; however, you must submit your experiences under God’s word in order to have a word-oriented results.* The “word” in our focal text in the Greek is “rhema”, not logos. Peter received and acted based on the rhema word from Christ.
Rhema is God’s specific word to you for a specific situation at a specific time. The logos is the God’s written word. You need both to advance in life. As you fellowship with the Living Word and prayer, you will receive rhema for the next higher level. Since Peter’s own methods had failed, it was needful to turn to a different method. Until you do something new your results will never change. Notice, he used the same nets, boat and water, but now based on the rhema word “launch into the deep”.Friend, how deeper you go in God’s word determines how higher you can go in life.
You may have tried and failed several times based on your own experiences, certificates, knowledge but I have good news for you. Acting according to His instructions (both rhema and logos) is the surest way to success, victory and joy in life (Matt 7:25). You don’t need to change your “biological family background” to be a success, but you need to understand and apply Kingdom principles and instructions to fly on success wings. It’s time to live by the experience of God’s personal word to you (rhema). The rich grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you always.
PRAYER
Dear Father, I thank You for Your undiluted word. It has been proven and tested for all situations but never found wanton. Your word establishes my destiny in greater glory and success. At your word, I am prosperous, wealthy, healthy, successful and blessed. I praise You for the logos and rhema experiences resulting in vibrant and productive life in Jesus’ Name. Amen !_
